“Design of Everyday Things” - User feedback

p.g 158: “Most designers… know the product too well to envision how people will use it, yet we (designers) are separated from the end users by multiple layers of corporate bureaucracy…. What this really points out is that the process by which we design is flawed”.

Interesting observation, and that’s part of what Agile tries to solve. Putting the software developers right beside the users, or user proxies, let them interact on a daily basis. Software is released more often, so actual users can try them out and give feedback into the next release.
